Grants Received:

FY2015- Broward County Creative Capital Investment Program- Individual Artist Grant: for

“Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark presents 100 Wishes for Broward!”

Workshop, public readings and a custom vase (made by Brenna Baker) full of 100 poetic wishes from the public celebrating Broward’s 100th Anniversary.

FY2014- Broward County Creative Capital Investment Program- Individual Artist Grant: for

“Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark presents The Poetry and Legends of Sea Glass.

4 workshops and 4 public shows showcasing the work of 30 poets inspired by sea glass.

FY2013- Broward County Creative Capital Investment Program-Individual Artist Grant: for “Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark presents: The Hobo Code Poetry and Art Project.”- 4 poetry workshops at 4 libraries and a live poetry reading at City of Hollywood, FL David Park Community Center and Studio 18 in Pembroke Pines, FL.  The resultant collection of poems was displayed  at Studio 18 and other various libraries, museums, etc during April 2013 National Poetry Month.

FY2012- Broward County Creative Capital Investment Program-Individual Artist Grant: for “Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark presents: Our Poetic Tribute to Amelia Earhart.”- 5 poetry workshops at 5 libraries,  live poetry reading  at Studio 18 in Pembroke Pines, FL and a collection of poems donated to the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum- and also various libraries and organizations for display during April 2012 National Poetry Month. A copy is also available at Purdue University Libraries System- which also houses Amelia’s own poetry.

FY2011-Broward County Cultural Division Individual Artist Mini- Grant Program FY2011:

 for “Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark Poetry Workshop Series: All About Broward!” – 5 poetry workshops at 5 libraries- to yield poetry from the local community to display in several libraries during April 2011 National Poetry Month- and to also a public poetry reading of the poems

FY2010-Broward County Cultural Division Individual Artist Mini- Grant Program FY2010:

 for “Broward County Poet-in-Residence Anastasia Clark Poetry Reading Series” – 10 poetry readings at 10 libraries- featuring publishing tips, poetry news, poetry reading and a discussion.

2013 “Pirate Poetry” A two hour workshop focusing on imagery, vocabulary and style!

2011-2012 “Poetry Noir”:  A two hour workshop to create poetry inspired by film noir of the 1940’s / 50s.  Main Library, Riverland Library and Stirling Road Library.

2012- “Caliente! The Poetry of Love!” A two hour workshop to inspire people to write passionate love poetry. Hallandale Beach Library, Southwest Regional Library and Margate Catharine Young Library.

2011- “Writing Poetry, Kicking Cancer!” A two hour workshop to help people use poetry as a way to cope with illness. Main Library via a grant they received from Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
